OPEN PLAY

What is Open Play Pickleball? 
Open Play is exactly as it sounds. Anyone can jump into a game! Just show up and play! No need to bring a partner.

Policies
MATRIX pickleball runs on an inclusive Open Play system. Any members and nonmembers can come use the courts during open club hours, as long as there is not programming run by MATRIX at the time. 

Pricing
Members play for free
Nonmember $10


Common Open Play Hours
Mondays and Wednesdays 6pm - close
Saturdays 8am - 12pm 


Rules
If there is a wait to play, the "Next Paddle Up System" will be used strictly to keep playing time fair.

Who can play Pickleball tournaments? 
The answer is: EVERYONE! 
Pickleball is inclusive. Even if you don't quite understand how to keep your score, you can play a 2.0 level Pickleball tournament. Ratings below.

Pickleball Ratings

1.0 - 2.0 Skill Rating
This player is just starting to play pickleball and has no other sports background. Minimal understanding of rules of the game.

2.5 Skill Rating

This player has limited experience. Can sustain a short rally with players of equal ability. Basic ability to keep score.
