  • The easiest way to play more tennis and improve your game.

  • Round Robin format.

  • 8‐week sessions.

  • We offer singles, doubles and mixed doubles using the USTA / NTRP levels.

  • If you do not have a ranking, our club pros can hit with you and give you a NTRP Equivalent Level ranking.

  • Up to 3 courts will be used for each time slot.

  • Upon completion of the session, we host a fun social event for all players.

  • Members only.

  • Advance sign up required. Walk-ins based on court availability.

  • Fees: $75 per session; Free to Matrix Elite Members.

  • NTRP 2.0:  You have limited experience but can get the ball into play.  You are ready to start playing sets and know basic positions for singles and doubles play.  Now it’s time to get some on-court experience to work on your strokes and improve your game.

  • NTRP 2.5:  You are learning to judge where the ball is going although you have not quite mastered court coverage.  You can sustain a short rally at slow to moderate pace with other players of the same ability. You're still working on perfecting your strokes and footwork.

  • NTRP 3.0:  You are consistent with hitting medium pace shots, but you struggle with some of your strokes.  You are working on control when trying for directional intent, depth and power.

  • NTRP 3.5:  You have achieved improved stroke dependability and direction on moderate pace shots, but you are still working on depth and variety.  You have gotten more aggressive at the net, your court coverage has improved and you are developing teamwork in doubles.

  • NTRP 4.0: You can hit with depth, consistency & spin, and have some shot variety off both forehand and backhand sides.  You use lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys in your game.    You can cause your opponent to make forced errors and your teamwork in doubles is evident.

  • NTRP 4.5:  You have mastered the use of power and spins.  Your footwork is sound, and you have started varying your tactics according to your opponent.  You can hit first serves with power and accuracy and second serves are placed.  You are able to rush the net and control the depth of your shots.

With more than 320,000 tennis players taking part each year, USTA League is the country’s largest adult competitive tennis league. It’s a great way to stay active, improve your tennis game, and even have the chance to compete for a National Championship. If you love tennis, you’ll love USTA Leagues at Matrix.  Join an existing team or start your own!  Ask us how.

USTA‐sanctioned tournaments are held throughout the country, which players can enter based on age (open, 35 and over, 40 and over, etc.) or ability (USTA / NTRP rating).

League play starts on the local level for ages 18 and over.

Top teams earn the chance to compete in sectional and national championships.

Ranking points are awarded at these events and go toward your sectional or district ranking.

The team spirit and camaraderie arising from the practices, league matches, and post‐season competition build friendships in and out of the Matrix..

USTA team formation is dependent on individual Matrix Racquet Club members volunteering to organize and captain teams.

Matrix’s primary objective in forming USTA teams is to give Matrix members the opportunity to participate in the unique USTA competitive experience.

All members on a team must be Matrix Club Members. However, on match day, a team can have up 2‐non‐Matrix Club Members as substitutes.

Maximum number of players per team is fifteen.

All team schedules consist of a round robin format.

USTA team practices and matches are permitted at any time.  Courts may be reserved up to 7 days in advance following the membership reservation rules.  To guarantee consistent practice time, teams may purchase contract time to reserve courts.

Teams will be allocated 2.5 hours court time for scheduled home matches including 30‐minute warm up time - 3 courts for 3 doubles / 2 singles‐format teams; 2 courts for 3 match format teams. Matrix will allocate 2 pre‐match courts for 30 minutes for the visiting team warm up.  Court reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance with the Matrix League Manager.

Indoor court time fees apply.   No fees for outdoor courts.
